In what may go down as one of the most lackluster matchups on the entire season, the Giants were able to defeat the Eagles on the leg of Josh Brown. The veteran kicker booted five field goals on Sunday to outscore Philadelphia in a game between two teams that seem headed for nowhere at this point. The Eagles and Giants defenses were able to stop scores, but both offenses failed to produce scores.
The Eagles lost Michael Vick again to injury, while his replacement, Matt Barkley, put in a dismal effort. The Giants were able to take advantage of the Eagles’ lack of scoring and were able to get by with just field goals. The Eagles were able to score first lone touchdown in two games — albeit on the defensive side of the ball — because of one of the worst long snaps in NFL history by Zak DeOssie, which went well over punter Steve Weatherford’s head and led to a Najee Goode fumble recovery for a touchdown.
Ed Valentine of Big Blue View is pleased with the improvement of the offense over the last two weeks:
[Bess] muffed the short punt at the 45 yard line, inside of Chiefs territory, and Kansas City recovered. Ugh. With seven minutes to play in the game, things were starting to look gloomy. The Browns forced another punt, though, and got the ball back with four minutes to play and no timeouts.
Facing a 4th-and-7 from their own 31-yard line with US Cheap Jerseys two minutes to go in the game, Campbell rolled out to his right and didn’t see anybody open. He looked across the grain and fired the ball. Entering the picture, trying to make a sliding catch, was Bess. He would have had just enough for a first down, but he dropped it. Deflating. Not including the muff, it was his 2-3 dropped pass of the game.
In Week 9, the Browns will host the Ravens while the Chiefs Website For Cheap Jerseys will travel to Buffalo to face the Bills.
