Celtics’ Marcus Smart fined $25K for flipping off fan

Jeanne is a 7-2 (without shoes, per DraftExpress) center with a 7-7 wingspan who should be highly intriguing to teams late in the first round who need to stash a player due to having multiple picks. He’s obviously got a ton of potential as a mobile shot-blocker, but he’s extremely skinny at this stage and still is developing in terms of skill set. We’ll see if he ends up making an impact.

Celtics guard Marcus Smart let his emotions get the best of him late in a home playoff loss to the Bulls on Tuesday, and now he’s paying for it.

Late in the fourth quarter after missing a 3-pointer, Smart appeared to flip off, point at and shush a fan on the sideline. In wake of the incident, the NBA announced Wednesday it levied a $25,000 fine against Smart.

Obviously, I’ve been told of the gesture, Celtics coach Brad Stevens said Wednesday during a conference call. I saw a brief video clip of it but, from my clip, from the angle that I saw, I couldn’t tell. But obviously if he made a gesture, it’s unacceptable and that will be handled Cheap Heat Jerseys by the league.

It was a frustrating night all around for Celtics players and fans during a Cheap Golden State Warriors Jerseys 111-97 loss, dropping Boston to a 2-0 deficit in the opening-round series.
